I use ColorMunki to profile my displays. Windows 7 RC (Build 7100) and the ColorMunki software have some issues and steps to take to verify proper application of the profile.
Prerequisites
By default, the software will alert after the current profile is more than 4 weeks old and pop up an alert:

To profile the display, the following requirements must be met:
- Latest ColorMunki software installed and operational
- The colorimeter (puck) available but not attached to the USB port
- Logged in a regular user
Reprofiling Steps
Follow these steps to reprofile:
- Close all open programs
- Launch the Photo application

- Select Profile My Display

- Plug in the puck when requested and go through the steps to calibrate it and start the process.
- Take the defaults and D65 color space. Go through the calibration process, and at the end, deselect the nofity message:

- Then open the Windows 7 color management control panel and verify the profile is set as the default for the display:

Issues
Application Hangs at Contrast Adjustment
If the screen doesn't cycle through the different brightness levels and move forward to the brightness adjustment screen, try these steps:
- Detach the puck
- Log out (force close any applications, ColorMunki probably being one of them)
- Retry the steps above
