This applies GPS settings to images via the GPS plug-in. Prerequisites:
- GPS track (.gpx file) active during time photos were taken
- Track file in d:\temp
- Images imported into Lightroom folder
Process
- Select Images for geoencoding
- Choose File->Plug-in Extras->Geoencode...
- Select the Geoencode from Tracklog tab
- Select the tracklog for the photowalk
- Select the "Add map url" and "enable automatic writeback..." options
- Select "process those images that do not have "real" Exif GPS date"
- Select the Geoencode Button
- A dialog box will come back with images written, success, etc
- When done, select the Dismiss buttom
Errors
If some images don't have entries, it may be due to track points being too far away (time-wise). Refine the selection in Lightroom of just these images and increase the fuzziness factor from 120 seconds to something that makes sense.
